Wilmington Invitational - a good start

Posted Sunday, August 28, 2011 by Mike Hout
Miamisburg cross-country is off and running to a record setting year.  To show how special this year will be.....we could not get everyone on the bus to get to the meet!  Coach Jenny had to drive a separate car with a few other runners!!!  The extra work was worth it as both the boys team and the girls team gave great efforts and placed high in this large meet (the boys were fourth and the girls were third).  Check the link below for the individual results from the Miamisburg team...

It was great to see strong finishes by our top runners Jordan Townsley, Michael Melko and Quentin Mullen.  Great work in your first varsity race Jayme Mettle.  It was also great to see first time varsity runners Anna Flores and Rachel Flores do so well.  Brian Mee surprised with a nice placing in the boys varsity race.  It was good to see 8 boys under 19 minutes.  Our top four girls were all under 22 minutes.  Keep up the good work everyone!
