great times and great races at GWOC

Posted Monday, October 17, 2011 by Mike Hout
Sadly, this pastor had a wedding when the GWOC championships were run at Fairborn.  He missed all the good running by the Miamisburg harriers.  He wishes he could have seen Jordan Townsley make first team all-league in the midst of two state ranked teams.  He wishes he could have seen the boys go 1-2 with Quentin Mullen making first team all-league and Michael Melko taking home GWOC South runner of the year honors.  He wishes he could have seen the many personal bests (at least 10 boy prs and 9 girl prs).  He wishes he could have seen the girls and the boys team run their best top five averages of the season, which also happened to be the second best top five averages in school history for the boys and girls.  He wishes he could have been there to yell for the boys in hopes that they could make up the slimmest of margins (4 points) to take home the league championship.

Alas, he missed it all and had to read about it online.  It just wasn't the same.
