We showed a lot more heart at the Districts.  Still, the competition was quite tough and we just missed out in qualifying our squads on to the regionals.  The boys team finished sixth and the girls were just a few points out of qualifying with a heart breaking fifth place.  Congratulations to Quentin Mullen who qualified for the regionals as an individual in the boys race.  Congrats also to Jordan Townsley and Jayme Mettle who made it to regionals as individuals in the girls race.

Here are the boys results:

And here are the girls results:

The regional meet was another example of how tough our area is.  Quentin, Jordan and Jayme gave it their best shot in less than optimal circumstances but their season ended at Troy.  In the state meet, GWOC south runner Jacquelyn Crow took home the state division I championship in 17:39.  Mary Kate Vaughn from Oakwood took home the state division II championship in 17:41.  And on the boys side Sam Wharton from Tippecanoe won the state individual crown in division I in 15:09.  Centerville girls were second.  Beavercreek girls were third.  Springboro girls were seventh.  Alter girls were third.  Oakwood girls were tenth.  Tippecanoe boys were seventh.  Oakwood boys were twelfth.  Centerville boys were twelfth.  Carroll boys were thirteenth.  These are all teams we have to compete against and it shows why southwest Ohio was the toughtest place in the state to run cross-country.

Of course, we also have a webpage for all our athletes with statistics from all their meets at:
